ARTIST PROFILE
I am a bonafide afecionado of photography influenced by my dad’s interest, my family’s leaning to the arts and exposure to the world’s unending creativity.
Born in a genteel society of Negros occidental in the Philippines and having a natural paradise for a playground has instilled in me the value of preserving nature and events. I have had several one-woman exhibits in a variety of topics in my home city, Bacolod, in the Province of Negros Occidental and onto the capital city, Manila, held at the Cultural Center of the Philippines. Since 2003 to the present, my artistry has spanned continents when I brought my photo-show, “Vistas Filipinas” to the eyes of Filipino communites in the west of USA, at the Parishes of St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish in the city of Milpitas and in the city of West Covina at St.Martha Catholic Parish both in California, USA. Another feather was added to my cap as my photo-exhibit, “Paradise in my Heart” awed the Filipinos in the east of USA held at the 5th Avenue, at the Philippine Center in New York. Recently, I was hosted by the Filipino community at the San Diego Philippine Library, Historical and Heritage Museum at the Gaslamp Quarter at downtown San Diego in California.
I have just moved in to classy and serene southern California. The lifestyle and environment, has abruptly switched my photography from the genuine tropical sceneries of my home country, Philippines to the western shores of astounding beaches, varied water and land picturesque sites, vast places and unending human activities during days and nights, awaiting to be captured by my photographic sense and store the images, emotions and experiences eternally in prints, mind and heart.
Now, I am here to share my creativity in photos which is mostly express by my artistic and photographic eyes and heart, intended to be shared and enjoyed and most especially be cherished by generations and succeeding generations to come.
